KCC has ten primary webpages and on this webpage, the goal is to help all businesses and persons interested in or overlapping with the cinematography industry, to be networked together as there is no other singular webpage attempting to link hundreds of local, regional, national, and international resources all in one place.
Our other webpage has upcoming KCC events as well as non-KCC events. We strive to list all cinematography events such as casting calls; premieres; film festivals; job opportunities; etc., to keep the community informed of such events. We welcome you submitting information as it can be a challenge to seek out all of these details.
There are links for casting companies; talent agencies; talent schools, etc., and those folks place a greater emphasis on their specializations than what will be attempted herein. Please view the links to those companies (below). Please see our disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

Akron [Ohio] Area Arts Alliance

B-Side
B-Side is an entertainment technology company that captures audience opinions to discover great films
and deliver them to viewers around the world.
B-Side discovers films through audience feedback from its community of hundreds of film festival
websites representing the world's largest film focus group. B-Side delivers these films globally through
bside.com and partnerships with distributors including the Independent Film Channel.
At B-Side, we are dedicated to changing that.
That is why we created bside.com the largest single network of film festival audiences and a new online marketplace bside.com is designed to help filmmakers sell their films to people who already love independent film. It is that simple.
We know your audience. Over the past two years, we have created the online communities for more than 40 international film festivals and IFC. Our sites have connected 3 million film fans with 10,000 films. Now we are connecting them to bside.com.
We give your audience the power to choose. Film fans buy movies on DVD. They download them to their computer. They watch them on their iPod. Why not give them all of the options they could want? bside.com is the first and only independent film site to offer both downloads and DVDs for our entire catalog. We are also the only one to offer downloads without the restrictions of DRM, allowing them to play on any computer and any portable device, as well as being burned to DVD.
We give you a fair deal, with B-Side, there are no hidden or up-front costs, no magic break-even point. You earn from each sale, period. We pay every 30 days. Plus, we're non-exclusive, meaning you do not have to choose between bside.com and any other opportunity.
Interested? To get started:
1. Find out more about who we are and how bside.com works in the Frequently Asked Questions.
2. Read our Distribution Agreement, with an overview of Terms in plain English.
3. Register online.
We will take it from there.

Cloigheann
For the past 15 years it seems Cloigheann (pronounced klog-in) has had as many member configurations as it
does possible ways to misspell the band's name. The band's unique blend of "Bluegrass/Greengrass" makes
them a one-of-a-kind traditional Irish and bluegrass roots ensemble - generating a solid mix of original
composition and traditional Irish reels, jigs, aires, songs and more.
The band members are Larry Green (fiddle, backing vocals), Cathy Wilde (flute, whistle), Donald Caffrey (bodhran, bones), Mike Schroeder (mandolin), Steve Cooley (banjo, dobro, backing vocals) and Mark Rosenthal (guitar, vocals).
Founded in 1991 by Mark Rosenthal and Roy Livingston, Cloigheann has been playing in, around, on, and in some cases under the regional Irish music scene ever since. From festivals to pubs to concerts to house parties and weddings, it's all the same to us - great music, and great craic wherever we make it.

Patrick is a remarkable young man who was born without eyes and without the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs, making him unable to walk. Additionally, two steel rods were surgically attached to Patrick's spine to correct scoliosis.
Despite circumstances that seem overwhelming to you and me, Patrick has overcome these physical issues to excel as a musician and student. Patrick started playing the piano at the age of only nine months, and also plays the trumpet and sings. He even participates in the University of Louisville School of Music Marching and Pep Bands with help from his father (Patrick John Hughes), who tirelessly maneuvers his wheel chair through the formations with the other 220+ members of the Cardinal Marching Band. Patrick is usually a straight 'A' student, having received only 5 'B's' since 6th grade up to and including his freshman year of college.
A virtuoso pianist, vocalist and trumpet player, Patrick has won or finished very high in numerous competitions, as well as winning awards acknowledging the circumstances he has overcome to achieve these heights. He has been featured on ESPN, ABC-TV, Oprah, CBS-TV, FOX-TV, CSTV, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and many, many others. Patrick has made appearances from California to Chicago to New York and Miami and countless points in between, even performing in South America and Europe.

The Louisville Cinema Society (LCS) LCS became independent from Kentucky Theater Project (KTP) in early 2005, however, their final meeting as an independent club was on 23 March 2006 and they no longer exist in any location. If you find links to this club, they are all out of date no matter what the information might state about this former club.
Louisville Film Society (LFS). They hold monthly showing of films in Louisville and surrounding cities as well. As they have a busy schedule, it is best to view their site for current materials. This organization began in the summer of 2007 in Louisville, Kentucky as a non-profit: 501(c)(3). The society focuses on showing films and its members appreciate films, but you do not have to be a cinematographer, actor, producer, or anyone in the film industry to participate in their organization.
Kentucky Theater Project Be aware that the Louisville Cinema Society separated from KTP in January 2005, so their LCS information is OUT OF DATE and should not be considered as accurate. LCS became independent from Kentucky Theater Project (KTP) in early 2005, however, their final meeting as an independent club was on 23 March 2006 and they no longer exist in any location. If you find links to this club, they are all out of date no matter what the information might state about this former club. Kentucky Theater Project still exists itself, so you can read their pages for more information. As of 1 January 2007, the KTP is looking for a new home as the owner of their former location is renovating the previous theater location.

Western Kentucky University Film Club in
Bowling Green, Kentucky

A local entrepreneur bought the historic theater at auction to save it from the wrecking ball and then turned it over to two arts advocates who created a non-profit arts organization, called the Kentucky Theater Project, Inc.
KTP re-opened the doors to the historic Kentucky Theater on Earth Day 2000 to celebrate the unity of all people. Since that time, organization founders have worked with hundreds of volunteers to transform the Kentucky Theater into a vibrant community arts center and art film house In its short history, Kentucky Theater Project has been featured extensively on television, radio, newspapers and magazines as a model for grassroots community arts development.

Locust Grove is a National Historic Landmark on 55 acres of the original 694 acre farm established by William and Lucy Clark Croghan in 1790. William Croghan was the brother-in-law and surveying partner of George Rogers Clark, founder of Louisville and Revolutionary War hero. George Rogers Clark spent the last nine years of his life at Locust Grove, from 1809 until his death in 1818. Locust Grove also hosted three U.S. Presidents, Monroe, Jackson and Taylor, and was a stopping point for famed explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark upon their return from their expedition to the Pacific. In addition, Locust Grove was home to numerous enslaved African-Americans who lived and worked on the farm and contributed to its success. Locust Grove tells the story of George Rogers Clark, early Kentucky history, western expansion and everyday life on the frontier.
Locust Grove's primary purpose is to provide educational opportunities which engage the public with early Kentucky history and life, while focusing on the historical character and contributions of George Rogers Clark, and the history and preservation of the circa 1790 historic house and supporting buildings. The Locust Grove Board of Directors and the staff are concerned with serving a diverse audience and work to carry out the above goals through programs that provide a variety of learning experiences, best interpret the site and enhance educational opportunities for all visitors.
In March 2000 Locust Grove was awarded museum accreditation by the American Association of Museums. Accreditation certifies that a museum operates according to standards set forth by the museum profession, manages its collections responsibly and provides quality service to the public. Of the 8,000 museums nationwide, only some 750 are accredited, with this honor Locust Grove joins the J.B. Speed Art Museum and the University of Kentucky Art Museum as the only three accredited museums in the Commonwealth.

The
Grand Convention Center
Opening in 1909, the Grand began its long tenure of providing its patrons with excellent entertainment.
Advertisement in the local paper read:
"An admission of 10 cents entitles a person to stay an hour and a half from 1900-2030 (7:00 to 8:30p.m.);
or from 2045-2200 (8:45 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.), and at each of these performances they can witness two acts of
Vaudeville, see three reels of moving pictures and hear two songs besides enjoying one of the best
orchestras in commission"...
In 1929, the Grand was remodeled and outfitted with "Fox Movietone", which was cutting edge at the time.
This enabled patrons to see and hear news related to national and world events for the first time. By
1931, sixteen theaters and two opera houses came and went in New Albany, leaving only the Grand, the Elks,
and the Indiana theaters. In January 1937, the Ohio River rose to an unprecedented level. Boats were the
only means of transportation in the downtown area. At the crest of the flood, the water was "ticket
counter" high, on the box office of the Grand. In July, the Grand started its renovation project which
was completed that December. By the 1950's the Grand, one of the first theaters in New Albany, was the
only movie theater left. The last movie shown in the Grand was in 1975. Many happy memories of days gone
by at the Grand make any event here more than special.
