They have daily updates, so be sure to bookmark them and visit frequently as there are always new opportunities that come up and frequently with limited prior note. BURNING UP THE STAGE acting workshops continue on Sunday nights from 1800-1930 EST (6:00-7:30 p.m.) The course is taught by Vin Morreale, Jr., who has taught BURNING UP THE STAGE workshops in Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Louisville. The course is open to actors from 15-80, with experience levels ranging from beginning actors to seasoned professionals. The cost for each class is only $15!

Both workshops are held the SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH and FIFTH Sunday of every month at Alix Adams School & Agency, 9813 Merioneth Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. Take Taylorsville Road east, past the Stoneybrook Shopping Center in Jeffersontown. You will pass three gas stations on your right. At the third light past Stoneybrook (just before the railroad overpass), turn left onto Merioneth Drive. Alix Adams is the third building on the left. Look for the gray sign.

WAVE-TV will be celebrating our 60th year in broadcasting this year. In March 2003, Max Media purchased WNKY-NBC. Based in Virginia Beach, Max Media has always been known as a progressive corporation that is committed to growing stations it owns. A good example is WNKY. In three years of ownership, the TV station has already moved into a new state-of-the-art facility, grown personnel, added a local weather department and recently signed on WNKY-CBS (in addition to WNKY-NBC). This growth is unprecedented and is the key to WNKY's continued success in South Central Kentucky.

On 10 September 2005 WNKY-NBC broadcast its first Live AccuWeather Forecast. WNKY-NBC did not take this launch of a local weathercast lightly. The station brought the area's only meteorologist, Chris Sowers, to the market. It made a point to offer a better product by presenting a clear, easy to understand, educated approach to the weather.

It is amazing what innovation and technology has brought to the broadcast television industry, giving us abilities that we could not have dreamed of only a few years ago. This new technology allowed WNKY to grew tremendously in 2007 when we launched WNKY-CBS on February 1st. WNKY now offers the NBC and CBS affiliate stations in South Central Kentucky. WNKY-CBS is a digital signal and can be found over the air at 40.2 or on Insight Cable channel 10.

WNKY has grown dramatically over the past few years, much like South Central Kentucky, and WNKY is moving into the future with determination to bring South Central Kentucky top weather coverage, the latest in meteorological equipment and top-rated NBC and CBS programming.

Paying Job

Los Angeles-based production company Treasure Entertainment is looking to hire a local Kentucky line producer/production manager to oversee a music video in the Lexington, Kentucky area. The video is for country star John Michael Montgomery and will be directed by "On The Lot" runner-up and local Kentuckian Jason Epperson. The tentative shooting date is ??? 2008, so any candidate would have to be available exclusively starting the week of the ??? 2008. However, the line producer will not have to handle any post-production, which will be done in Los Angeles.
