The purpose of this webpage is to help your professionalize your productions. Whether you are just learning the business of cinematography or already established, the reality is that everyone can be more organized. The use of story boards (standard 4:3 aspect ratio) or (wide screen 16 x 9 aspect ratio), will help you save money, time, effort, and help you gain the respect of your peers as they will see your drive for efficiency.

The camera settings of your camera, light meter, and other issues can also be placed into a file folder for each days production work. These forms, over time, will become rather valuable so you can refer back to them and view the settings and situations that either led to a great looking movie or one that you would like to remake. Either way, it helps you to document your productions.

FORMS

This is our newest page and there will be helpful forms located here for you to utilize in the creative process of making motion pictures. Continue to revisit this page to see the latest additions.

README.TXT for the zip files below:

Widescreen.gif (16 x 9 aspect ratio) Story Board

Standard definition (4 x 3 aspect ratio.gif) Story Board

storyboardtools.zip program

storyboard_template4to3.zip

storyboard_template4to3.pdf

sb4pannel.zip

sb4pannel.pdf

CAMERALOG.GIF This will help you maintain a log of your camera settings for each shot for the day. If you need to perform a reshoot of a scene, then you simply pull out the log for that date and can have your cameraman set up everything either the same or make necessary corrections. This is a generic form and you might consider making your own form that will better relate to your particular camera system. The form can help set an example of how to make the layout for your own personalized version.
