This website has been written to inform you of upcoming events for our 20th reunion. We wish to encourage everyone to attend our upcoming events and if you have suggestions of additional events for our reunion weekend, those are welcome too. Several class members are generously working on our reunion and donating their skills and abilities for these events. As of right now, whatever money existed for the reunions is unknown to those of us facilitating this reunion. If anyone knows about those financial resources, we would love to learn about it.

SPRING 2008

There were many classmates who could not attend these events and wanted to participate with our reunion. Then another challenge we experienced was locating all of the 352 classmates, so our goal will be to utilize this reunion as our "pre-reunion" to gather the contact information for others who could not be located.

Classmates.com has been a very helpful resource; however, they do not permit us to easily update all of the events for non-classmates.com Ballard Graduates to view our activities. The goal of this webpage is to serve as your conduit to our classmates. Even after our reunion(s) this year, I will keep this page active and hope we can continue to locate our former friends. If you have suggestions or requests for more information to be posted here, just let me know. We respect that in this day in age, not everyone has chosen to join or does not know about classmates.com/ so just bookmark this webpage and I will keep you up-to-date.

Events/Site Committee Members

We are primarily interested in having alumni from Kentucky and southern Indiana on this committee because it requires recent familiarization with locations for events as well as the ability to meet frequently with others on the committee for site visitation. Site Committee Members are welcome to serve on other necessary committees or just on this one alone. We welcome enthusiastic participation from everyone.

Events / Site Committee Members Goals:

Should meet at least once a month in the months leading up to our reunion. In the last month, if more frequent meetings are necessary, attendance would be extremely helpful.

Should immediately work with the Communications Committee to contact alumni members and determine what events/times/locations would best suit the interests of all possible alumni.

Several months prior to the actual reunion, a site must be chosen and depending on the site requirements, costs shall be determined and communicated to the alumni to ensure that interest still exists based on the per-person estimates. If the price range is beyond the populous financial abilities, the committee must find another venue for our desired events.

This committee must specify its definite findings two months prior to the actual reunion so all alumni can be contacted whether by snail mail, email, telephone, and also by our webpage(s).

The Events / Site Committee Members will also be expected to assist in setting up the necessary decorations for the planned events.

Events / Site Committee Members can each have unique tasks because a variety of roles are needing to be filed by energetic persons.
